Laws Concerning Youth in Malta

Since Malta entered the European Union in 2004 it had to adopt a lot changes from European Union legislation, for example laws which are related to education. The laws in Malta regarding youth are not as developed as the European level and there are many fields where it can be further improved, although the course of direction is right.

There are still laws missing which would empower youth mobility or engagement in social affairs. Programs like Youth on the Move and Erasmus should be promoted and Malteser youth should be further supported by the government to better integrate to the labour market.
